The bypass kit connects directly to the brain of the Python alarm system as well as the brain of all the major brands, so no special connections were needed. Since the installation, my vehicle starts, on queue, every time I press the remote start button on my alarm system's remote. Once started, I am able to drive off without shutting off the car and restarting with the key, just by putting the key into the ignition and turning it to the start position. This is an excellent product and I highly recommend it.I installed this unit after giving up on another brand where you put an extra key in it. Wiring is a breeze if you know what you're doing and you shouldn't be installing a remote start yourself if you don't. ?? Programming for my Ford Focus required reading some forums but works perfectly once programed. One issue I've run into is having to reprogram it after the battery was disconnected.Not an install for the faint of heart or those unfamiliar with automotive wiring or electronics schematics. Do the research, find all the required wires before splicing or cutting a thing and you'll be fine. Programming took a few tries as the time to lock the settings in is a bit fast.Connecting in the order documented leads to some relay under the hood to freak out until the D2D connection is made. For me this was not kosher so I ended up connecting D2D first then the other plugs. Had to attempt programming 3 times but it finally worked.This bypass module works right out of the box and does not need to be flash. Will definitely buy again.Be very thorough when following the instructions. Luckily you cannot screw it up too bad if you miss a step. Just take your time. Another thing that i always do when installing 556s is take the portion of wire that goes around the key cylinder and cut the spiral rubber away from it. Some vehicles have plastic trim rings that you can pop off of the key cylinder and inside of that you will actually see a band of small gauged wires that look like the ones from the 556. If you can, try to place the 556 ring inside and immediately next to that. Also, with your situation, make sure that the 556 is actually getting energized from the RS brain.Another thing that i always do when installing 556s is take the portion of wire that goes around the key cylinder and cut the spiral rubber away from it. I'd recommend not cutting the wrapping.A good measure to keep it in place once you've tested remote starting and got the 556u to work is to put some dabs of hot glue on the ring to hold it in place while you put the car back together.Or could be bad tach.

It does run a small relay which would kill your battery in no time if it was constantly active. You could wire it so it only activates when the keysense wire is energized (when the key is in the ignition) Wire the black and blue wires to ground, and wire the red wire to the keysense. The other wires on the 556u would not be needed. Then Centered the chip in the array of wires and hot glued it in. It's just held by 2 pieces of foam and there is no way your key is not going to eventually move and have the bypass not work properly and I didn't want to tear apart the dash again to fix that. So far it has worked perfect.
